This arrangement allows an individual to give a residence or a farm which has been their residence while reserving the right to use the property or benefit from it for a term of years or for their lifetime. The individual is responsible for maintenance and expenses. There is an immediate income tax advantage. Later there will be probate and estate cost savings.
